Hudson River Valley Organizations

The following organizations play an important role in bringing to the public a variety of issues, resources, and information about the Hudson River Valley.

Hudson River Valley Institute
The Hudson River Valley Institute is a key partner with the Southeastern New York Library Resources Council to identify collections to add to HRVH. As the center for the study of the Hudson River Valley, the Hudson River Valley Institute (HRVI) at Marist College is the central hub for information about the region. HRVI serves heritage tourists, scholars, elementary and secondary school educators, environmental organizations, the business community, and the general public seeking to know more about the region that Congress called "the Landscape that defined America."

Hudson River Valley National Heritage Area
The Hudson River Valley National Heritage Area's official website provides information on approximately 80 Heritage Sites - to view them select Heritage Sites by region and theme.

Historic Hudson Valley
Historic Hudson Valley, an acknowledged leader in the field of historic preservation and education, is a network of six historic sites in Sleepy Hollow Country and the Great Estates Region. The organization's mission is to preserve the culture, landscape, and history of the Hudson River Valley, and to present this heritage to the public through educational outreach, daily programming at historic properties, and special events.

Hudson River Heritage
Hudson River Heritage is an organization which is proud to support the Hudson River National Landmark District. This beautiful historic area encompasses an area of 32 square miles along the east bank on the Hudson River, a place rich with country estates, small hamlets, and breathtaking landscapes.

Lower Hudson Conference of Historical Agencies & Museums
Lower Hudson Conference of Historical Agencies & Museums is a regional service organization formed to advance and advocate the preservation and interpretation of the area's historical, ethnic and cultural heritages.
